Mike McShane - born to a musical family in Bayshore, NY - studied music at a very early age. While attending Parsons & the School of Visual Arts in NYC (1979) he began playing and recording in the East Village art & improvisational music scene, studying under renowned percussionist Glen Velez. Thru the next decade he actively played and recorded in NYC, some to include: Elliot Sharp (Zoar), "The Crazy Hearts" (Zoar), "Circle-X" (Matador) & political satyr art troupe "Salon Bon Ton". He evolved to jazz after moving to Rehoboth, DE (1991) and continues to perform and record regularly.
